Competition Rules and Regulations |

Read carefully. Failure to comply can lead to disqualification.
- All observers and participants agree to display good sportsmanship. Unsportsmanlike conduct will result in disqualification.
- If participation is refused, it will result in the loss of any entry fees, awards or financial obligations on the part of A DanceXtraordinaire.
- A DanceXtraordinaire has the right to refuse any studio or participant entry.
- Contestants grant A DanceXtraordinaire permission to use contestant photographs for advertising and promotional purposes or to appear in videotaped or filmed broadcasts.
- No flash photos, video recording devices, or equipment will be permitted on property.
- Competition entries must be postmarked 30 days before the event. No changes in competition entries will be allowed 2 weeks prior to competition without a $10.00 fee charged to each change or addition.
- Incorrect information (ages, etc.) will result in disqualification.
- All competition fees must accompany the original entry form. Payment due by cashier’s check, money order or studio check. One check per studio.
- Insufficient funds will result in a $25.00 additional charge, resulting in payments accepted by cashier’s check or money order only. There are no refunds.
- Food, beverages allowed in designated eating areas only. Smoking prohibited.
- All judges’ decisions are final. Any and all protests must be submitted in writing by teacher only within 30 minutes of the performance in question.
- Audience support is welcome at all times. Please refrain from loud screaming that may disrupt the performance. Audience is asked not to leave or come in the theater while a dance is in progress.
- A DanceXtraordinaire competition is not responsible for theft, damage, loss, or misuse of anyone’s personal property or equipment. We reserve the right to refuse participation or access to the competition at any time the operators of A DanceXtraordinaire deem fit.
- Any conduct or misuse of facility, including damaged or stolen property will be the sole responsibility of participant.
- A DanceXtraordinaire in not responsible for injury, damage or loss to any person or property during the event. This includes directors, employees, independent contractors and promoters.
- A routine that has won the Ultimate DanceXtraordinaire Award may not perform the same routine again in any given year.
- A 15 point deduction will occur when a routine does not meet the Performance Division requirements.
